Is your food vegetarian?

Yes. We use only plant based and dairy based ingredients. Our products are free from meat, chicken, fish and eggs.

How to look for vegan items?

Type in vegan in the search, list of vegan dishes will be displayed. Similarly, you can search for nut-free, etc

Do you use any msg, soy or corn fillers?

No, we do not use msg, soy or corn fillers.

I have food allergies. How do I know if I can eat your products?

Under each product description, you will find notes that show whether that particular product is suitable for a particular diet. Examples include: gluten free, and dairy-free. We recognize that some of our customers have allergies or sensitivities to nuts, gluten, soy, and other food items. That's why we strive to disclose all ingredients used in the production of our products and will answer any questions directly to help you decide which products you can safely consume. We take every precaution to ensure that cross contamination of ingredients does not occur in our production facility, but please be aware that our products are produced in a plant which processes foods containing wheat, soy, nuts, dairy, seeds, etc.

Are all of your products gluten-free?

No, but we have many gluten-free options. All of our gluten-free choices can be found by searching our site for gluten or by looking for the gluten free tag on a particular product.

Is there a possibility of cross contamination in your facility?

We take every precaution to ensure that cross contamination of ingredients does not occur in our production facility, but please be aware that our products are produced in a plant which processes foods containing wheat, soy, nuts, seeds, etc. We strive to prevent cross contamination to the best of our abilities as a multi-purpose commercial kitchen, but we do not recommend our products for people with celiac disease or similarly severe allergies. We recommend that consumers with celiac purchase food products from an alternative service that uses a single-purpose, certified gluten free commercial kitchen facility.

Are your products organic?

All our products are made with organic ingredients. Over 90% of the ingredients we use are organic. If a certain product is not organic, it will be noted.

Do your products have preservatives?

No, we do not add any preservatives to our products.

Do you have soy-free products?

Yes, we have a soy-free products.

Are there any minimum food orders?

There is no minimum, however there shipping is free for minimum $60 order for OR and WA, $70 for CA and $80 to other areas we deliver in the US.

Can food be pre-ordered?

Yes, we strongly recommend preordering

Can we order food in bulk for catering?

Yes, you can order food in bulk for catering. Please let us know the items you need and the quantity in ounces. Email the details to info@organicindiankitchen.com

What is the cut off time to place the order?

Its 12 noon for shipping 2 working days ahead the next day.

Can I order food for delivery on the same day?

Earliest is 48 hours for shipping.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to any physical address within the united states. We currently don't ship to Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico.

Do you deliver to a p.o. Box?

No. Ups/USPS/FedEx require a physical address in order to deliver perishables.

Do i have to be home in order to receive the delivery?

No. If no one is home at the time of delivery, Ups/USPS/FedEx will leave the package outside your door. However, we recommend that you pick up your package as soon as possible to prevent unwanted thawing.

How is the food shipped?

To maintain freshness, food is packed in food grade pouches and shipped cold.

What is the cancellation policy?

24 hours before the cut off time, for a 90% refund.

Does the delivery require a signature?

No, we ship everything via UPS/USPS/FedEx without signature required.

When will my order ship?

When will I receive my order? 

Order will be shipped on the date chosen at checkout. If an item is not available, order will be shipped once this item is ready.

  • Orders to WA and most of OR are shipped next day, Monday-Thursday
  • Rest of the US is shipped 2 day, Monday - Wednesday

Any orders placed on the wrong day for delivery will be delivered on the next earliest delivery day.

Please NOTE, shipping may be delayed due to unavoidable circumstances by the carriers. We cannot take responsibility for carrier delays.

 

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive shipping confirmation and the tracking number. Estimates for Oregon and Washington are next business day, rest of the US is 2 business days.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping rates are mentioned at checkout. Free shipping is available if a minimum order amount is met.

What is the best way to store?

It is always best to store the products in the freezer and keep only 1 or 2 days worth of food in the refrigerator to thaw out. Our products will last up to 4 weeks in the freezer, and 2-3 days in the fridge.

How long can I keep the products in the refrigerator or freezer?

Our products are preservative free, they can be kept up to 4 weeks in the freezer, or 2-3 days in the refrigerator. Do not leave the products out of the refrigerator overnight.

How will my order arrive?

Each product is fresh frozen to optimize freshness. Your order will arrive in an insulated shipping container and it may have dry ice to maintain temperature

What if i receive my delivery and the dry ice is gone?

As long as the products are still "refrigerator-cold" to the touch, they can be safely stored in your freezer with no reduction in quality.

Dry ice information

Our products that have a longer ship time may be shipped with dry ice. The shipment is packed with just enough dry ice to disappear before you open your package; but if you open your package to find pieces of dry ice still remaining, don’t touch the dry ice. Leave it in the box and put the box outside or in a garage so that the dry ice can naturally dissipate. Ensure that children or pets will not be able to access the box. Do not attempt to seal the dry ice off in a jar or container, as it may cause harm. Please carefully read the dry ice warning instructions, which are included in every package. We will not be held liable for any damage caused by improper handling of dry ice material.

Do you accept returns?

Because we produce a perishable product, we cannot accept returned food items. We will promptly issue a replacement credit for any food item that was damaged, spoiled, or impaired as a direct result of shipping or delivery. Valid proof is necessary for credit to be issued.

Where are the cooking instructions for each product?

You can find the instructions on our webpage under each product

How do I prepare?

Our webpage contains a set of instructions for preparation. Our products can be microwaved, but for best results we recommend you use the oven or skillet. Ovens and microwaves vary, instructions should be used as a guide.

Are there retail locations or outlets?

No, we do not have any retail outlets. Our food is available exclusively online, through www.organicindiankitchen.com
